Can you give us a glimpse of your journey in the Sitecore ecosystem?

While I have worked around Sitecore on and off for many years, I’ve had the opportunity to really dive in with the platform during my year+ tenure here at Horizontal.


How do you define 1:1 personalized, connected experiences? How does this approach influence your work?

I have always believed that the experience a person has with a brand is the brand itself. And with the explosion of customer engagement points and the increasing reliance of consumers on digital interactions, delivering great brand experiences is increasingly difficult. It is imperative that brands leverage all available data to orchestrate experiences that are relevant and consistent across all points of engagement with their customers.


When it comes to personalized customer experiences, what advantages do you provide clients with?

Technology is critical to delivering great customer experiences today. But it is easy to focus too much on the tech and not enough on the customer and the business need. I strive to help clients clearly define their business and customer goals as a first step to implementing the right technology in the right way to maximize ROI.


What do you want the main takeaway of your session to be?

I hope that we can help attendees see clearly that their CDP journey is just that – a journey. It is not a big bang solution. They need to start with clearly defined objectives and employ the crawl-walk-run approach, while experimenting along the way to learn what does and doesn’t work.


How many Symposiums have you attended? What are you looking forward to this year?

This will be my first Sitecore Symposium. I am excited to meet others that are passionate about customer experience strategy and to learn even more about where Sitecore is heading with their suite of products.
